Hate Breeders
Glenn Danzig’s new album Black Laden Crown comes out tomorrow/today and I’m pretty excited. His festival Blackest of the Black also makes a return this weekend, but this time bigger and more insane – a spooky haunted house and Wienerschnitzel! So with the wild commotion of all things Danzig, why not a comic featuring him?
This one is inspired by a recent interview where he was asked about being incredibly polarizing. In classic Danzig fashion he brushed off the haters and came very close to saying the classically spicy memeage of “haters gonna hate”. When I shared this with some pals, Yama of 12 for a Penny basically said what you’ll find in the first two panels. So big ups to him and may he be lifted and carried on high.
Anyway, it’s just a silly little joke at a man who is pretty damn legendary but often takes himself a little too seriously. If he drinks blood (or kool-aid) from baby skulls and has his own leather tanning factory, well, good on him. In any case, here’s hoping the new album is good and doesn’t sound like it was recorded in a gas station bathroom.
