When people ring me up on the telephone to ask questions they could have answered in less time with a Google search, I have two reactions. First I’m a little annoyed that they’ve forgotten that we live in The World of Today. Then I’m a little saddened that we live in The World of Today, where a person would think it’s at all reasonable to regard conversation with a friend as a nuisance.

If anyone would like to call me sometime to ask the name of an actor in a movie or what year the Berlin Wall fell, I would be happy to give you my number.
