Guest Comic For 6 Color Stories

by James

Lynn Andrews the creator of Tanga 6 Color Stories asked for some fill in guest comics on http://childpsychiatryassociates.com/treatment-team/sheila_pottebaum-200/ Twitter. I asked her if we would do and she said alright. I asked her the question I have asked 5 times now and that question is “What’s the criteria for the guest comic?”. Of course she then replied just make it PG.  So then Boom the comic is about writing a PG guest comic. While your at her site read the rest of her archives and follow her on Twitter.

6 Questions with Joel Poirier Creator of Stripped Comics

by James

I’m not really a fan of the serious superhero web comic so at first glance I thought that’s what Stripped Comics was. When I read it I was pleased to find that it was actually a clever satire on super heroes that dissects said world. Joel also uses overlapping story arches that include various characters to tell the tale of each archetype and how they interact within the world. After the interview head over to Joel Poirier’s witty tribute to the comics we all love over at Stripped Comics.

The OG: I love your comic because it’s very unique in being several comics that that have overlapping stories. How did you come up with this method for creating your satirical comic?

I’ve been making comics as a hobby for a while now and I’ve always wanted to do some kind of anthology series. Have a variety of stories using classic tropes and exploit them for my own amusement. With more than one title I can cover more genres, more clichés, and I don’t get bored drawing just one character all the time.  ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Guest comic for the Underfold

by James

Brian Russell the creator of the Underfold asked for guest web comicers to help fill in his week off from his comic. Of course I jumped in on this opportinuty and as per usual was really late with getting the script completed for Aaron to to work on. I finally got it done with 2 days left and there you go. The comic fits with Brian and me, since we both just had little baby girls and love posting pictures of them. So to all you internet people who complain about this, go screw off. Also go look at Brian’s comic the Underfold it’s one of my personal favorites.
