In my youth there were many villains. In Star Wars there was Darth Vader, Transformers had Megatron, GI Joe had Cobra Commander and the WWF had Rowdy Roddy Piper. I hated this man for being an over the top jerk. In wrestling every villain had a built in gimmick of hate and annoyance. Piper made you hate him because he was good at his job. He was Stone cold before Stone Cold. Of course he eventually tried his hand at movies which had many misses but one huge cult hit. They Live was a movie that I fondly remember from my child hood and still holds up today as I just watched it a few days ago. So with that I say farewell to a man that made it possible for me to root for the good guys in wrestling. A guy who was here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and he finally ran out of both. Fare thee well angry man in blue underwear, we salute you.

Today we pay our respects and say farewell to to an acting villain and legend. He was the face of villainy and leaves us with a body of work that’s hard to duplicate. He will be missed and with that we say goodbye Mr. Lee, one of the greatest fictional villains to ever live.
